Lori Derk and her husband were fishing with us on board the Luhrs 36ft boat out of the Dreams Las Mareas. They had a nice day and release 2 nice Roosterfish and caught a few Yellowfin tuna.
Brian Keyser from Playa Potrero was fishing on the Mahi Mahi boat and caught a couple of good sized Dorado, after that they tried for Roosterfish however he had no luck.
We were fishing with a couple from the Riu Guanacaste for two days on board the La Manta boat. The first day (on January 28th) they caught just 2 Yellowfin and one Wahoo; however the second day (on January 30th) they had a very busy day landing 3 sailfish and 2 blue marlin shown on the videos below.
We have been fishing offshore and inshore lately. Last week was very windy; so, we could not fish offshore; however when weather permits fishing is ok

Jim Rusell and his family were deep sea fishing out of the Westin Conchal hotel. They landed a sailfish and caught one Dorado; however, weather did not cooperate; so, they came earlier than expected.
Larry Hondl was fishing inshore out of El Jobo beach, out of the Dreams Las Mareas hotel and had a nice day with his family.
We took this group from Playa Hermosa for a day of Fishing and Beach BBQ, they caught a few red snapper for ceviche and the BBQ. They had a nice time and enjoy snorkeling as well.
Devlin Houbert was fishing out of the Dreams Las Mareas hotel and had a nice time fishing inshore.
Garry Granger enjoyed a beautiful day of inshore fishing out of El Jobo Beach aboard the Luhrs 36ft. The weather was perfect, and the fishing made for a memorable day on the water.
We took this couple inshore fishing from Secrets Papagayo for a half-day charter aboard the La Manta, with Captain Lino Guido at the helm. They had a great day on the water, releasing three beautiful Roosterfish and catching a Dorado and a Yellowfin Tuna. A fantastic inshore fishing experience in the waters of Papagayo!
Captain Lino Guido took this couple fishing aboard the La Manta for a full-day offshore and inshore fishing charter north near the Bat Islands. With a full day available, they were able to split their time between offshore and inshore fishing, starting offshore early in the morning and then spending 3–4 hours fishing inshore.
It was a beautiful day on the water. Although they didn’t land any sailfish or marlin, they had plenty of action and brought home enough fish for dinner, including a very good-sized Dorado, a Cubera Snapper, and a couple of Yellowfin Tuna. They also released four very good-sized Roosterfish, making it a memorable day of fishing with Captain Lino and the La Manta.
Murray Robinson and his son drove from Tamarindo to enjoy some fishing near Playa del Coco, choosing a fishing spot north near the Bat Islands. We departed from Coco around 7:45 a.m. and headed north, taking advantage of the calm weather conditions.
They had a fantastic day on the water, landing four very good-sized Roosterfish, all of which were released, along with two Dorado that they kept for the table. It was a great father-and-son fishing trip with plenty of action and beautiful conditions on the water.
Mike Bennett and his wife enjoyed a fishing trip with us aboard the La Chila on November 7. They had a great day on the water and were kind enough to send us a few pictures along with some wonderful feedback about their experience with Captain Arnold and his deckhand.
They caught seven Mahi-Mahi and one Jack, and Mike was especially impressed with the crew’s professionalism, attention to detail, and constant effort to keep everything running smoothly. The deckhand kept busy throughout the trip, checking the equipment, preparing fresh bait, cleaning the fish, and keeping the boat spotless.
One of the highlights of the day was a fresh ceviche prepared onboard for lunch using their catch.

We caught 7 Mahi-Mahi and 1 Jack. The deckhand was constantly busy checking everything, putting fresh bait, cleaning the fish we caught and cleaning the boat.
For lunch he made us fresh ceviche from our catch. We were blown away.

Brian Horn and his wife enjoyed a great inshore fishing trip from the Riu Palace Costa Rica aboard our La Manta boat. They headed out early to the nearby inshore fishing grounds, where they had a productive day on the water.
They caught a nice Roosterfish, a good-sized Amberjack, and a Jack Jurel, making for a successful inshore fishing experience. It was a beautiful day and a great opportunity to enjoy some of the excellent inshore fishing available from the Riu Palace Costa Rica.
